Redevelopment project : TESL block & Music block

I know i have not post anything since late last year so here i am to post a new thing that makes me feel excited.

This time i had decided to do a redevelopment project of 2 existing buildings in Bandar Tun Razak, Cheras.
The current condition of the buildings is still good, both have exist for more than 10 years ago (i believe one of the block has been there for more than 25 years ago)

So, here it is. i still don't know what name should i give to this project so right now just sit tight and enjoy!

Just a short description :

Both buildings have six floors and underneath both buildings, there is a 4-levels parking space underneath both buildings.

the parking space is huge and has about 500 parking bays available. So it able to accommodate all cars in the college.

Both buildings also has 6 lifts/ elevators that serve the students and lecturers in the building.

One of the special features of this place is that it has a plaza in the middle separating the TESL block and Music block.
The plaza is also covered by a huge roof so that the students can hold certain outdoor activities or events without worrying about the weather. It also can be a place to play and rest. Surely, there are trees that are planted here to give a good ambience and fresh air to the visitors

The plaza

You can see the main entrances to both buildings
This wide stairs is one of the main landmark of this place
At the bottom left of the picture, you can see there's a huge pond. The function is not only to beautify the place but it also help to keep the coolness of surrounding

Most part of the facade of the buildings are made of glass, this will help to light up the interior of the buildings and help to give natural light instead of using light bulb. Thus it will help to reduce electricity cost.

For TESL block, there are 24 lecture rooms that can be used by the students and it also contained two big lecture halls to serve both students and lecturers. It can accommodate more than 300 students at a time in the respective lecture halls. There's also a skylight ceiling in the atrium that help to bring natural light from the outside to light up the atrium.

Next. for Music block, there are also 24 lecture rooms and one of the special feature of the building is it has a big concert hall that can be filled by more than 1000 people at a time. When there are special occasions or events such as concert or theater. this hall can be use.
There's also a cafe at the ground floor of the building to serve the people from both buildings. It has indoor and outdoor seats. So you can choose whether you want to eat in air-conditioned place or place filled with fresh air.

3D Model - Surau Taa'dib [Visionary Project]

Sometimes, when i went to a place that has so many flaws like ugly building, old and filthy walkway i tend to imagine what will it looks like if the owner of the place improve and upgrade the place so that it will look beautiful, tidy and up to date.

So this post is kinda related to the above statement.

There's a surau in place where i studied called surau Taa'dib. I don't know how old is the surau but from my observation it looks like it has been there for a decade and it still looks nice. the problem is that the surau is small and the ventilation (in my opinion) is not so good plus the ceiling is low. But then it still nice to be in there.

Another problem that i don't like is the surrounding of the building. There's an open car park area in front of it which looks very ugly thus it affect my feeling towards the building. So because of that, i just created new design for the surau just for my viewing pleasure!

The building that i had designed is bigger and better! So instead of calling it surau, i called it mosque because it has the size of a mosque. Ladies and gentleman, i present you, my visionary project called (the new and improvised version of) Masjid Taa'dib (Taa'dib Mosque) ---------> [scroll down please]

INTERIOR
the interior is divided into two parts -

open air hall - no wall, glass or anything to let wind go through it, so extra ventilation and natural cooling
                     system
main prayer hall - 2 storey + air conditioned
                         - carpet and the colour scheme of the wall and carpet are warm so that you'll feel cozy
